KESUKAAN ORANG YANG BERBAHAGIA (DIBERKATI)
“Berbahagialah orang yang tidak berjalan menurut nasihat orang fasik, yang tidak berdiri di jalan orang berdosa, dan yang tidak duduk dalam kumpulan pencemooh,
tetapi yang kesukaannya ialah Taurat TUHAN, dan yang merenungkan Taurat itu siang dan malam.
Ia seperti pohon, yang ditanam di tepi aliran air, yang menghasilkan buahnya pada musimnya, dan yang tidak layu daunnya; apa saja yang diperbuatnya berhasil.” Mazmur 1:1-3.
“Orang yang mengasihi Tuhan akan merenung-renungkan hukum Tuhan itu siang dan malam. Ia selalu siap pada segala musim atau keadaan apa pun. Ia menghasilkan buah dari ranting yang sangat terpaut pada Pokok Anggur. Ketika ia memiliki kesempatan, ia selalu berbuat baik; dan di mana pun, kapan pun, dan di semua tempat, ia menemukan kesempatan untuk bekerja bagi Tuhan. Ia adalah salah satu pohon yang senantiasa hijau milik Tuhan; dan ia membawakan keharuman bersamanya ke mana pun ia pergi. Suasana yang menyehatkan melingkupi jiwanya. Keindahan kehidupan yang teratur dan percakapan salehnya mengilhami iman, harapan, dan keberanian dalam diri orang lain. Inilah Kekristenan dalam hidup. Berusahalah untuk menjadi pohon yang senantiasa hijau. Kenakanlah perhiasan berupa roh yang lemah lembut dan tenang, yang sangat berharga di mata Tuhan. Gemarilah karunia kasih, sukacita, kedamaian, kesabaran, dan kelemahlembutan. Inilah buah dari pohon Kristen. Ditanam di tepi sungai air, pohon itu selalu menghasilkan buahnya pada musim yang tepat.” RH 24 Agustus 1897, par. 5.
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:1-3.

The beauty of his well-ordered life and godly conversation inspires faith and hope and courage in others. This is Christianity in practice. Seek to be an evergreen tree. Wear the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. Cherish the grace of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness. This is the fruit of the Christian tree.
