APAKAH KITA MEMANG MAU DIAJAR OLEH ALLAH?
“Firman TUHAN: “Hal-hal yang terjadi di masa yang lampau telah Kuberitahukan dari sejak dahulu, Aku telah mengucapkannya dan telah mengabarkannya. Kemudian dengan sekonyong-konyong Aku melaksanakannya juga dan semuanya itu sudah menjadi kenyataan.” Yesaya 48:3.
“Umat Allah harus belajar apa artinya diajar oleh Allah, apa artinya menyangkal diri, dan mengorbankan diri. Surga penuh dengan kuasa, dan kuasa ini akan datang kepada kita jika kita merasa membutuhkannya.” RH 8 April 1909, par. 11.
“Semua orang yang menyelidiki Alkitab dengan kerendahan hati akan diajar oleh Allah. “Dengarlah firman ini, hai kaum keturunan Yakub, yang menyebutkan dirinya dengan nama Israel dan yang adalah keturunan Yehuda, yang bersumpah demi nama TUHAN dan mengakui Allah Israel — tetapi bukan dengan sungguh-sungguh dan dengan tulus hati — bahkan mereka menyebutkan dirinya menurut kota kudus dan mereka bertopang kepada Allah Israel, TUHAN semesta alam nama-Nya; firman TUHAN: “Hal-hal yang terjadi di masa yang lampau telah Kuberitahukan dari sejak dahulu, Aku telah mengucapkannya dan telah mengabarkannya. “Bacalah seluruh pasal ini,—pasal keempat puluh delapan dari Yesaya. Telah ditunjukkan kepada saya sebagai gambaran dari kondisi sebenarnya dari orang-orang yang, meskipun mereka sebenarnya telah memiliki kebenaran, baris demi baris, ajaran demi ajaran, telah menolak untuk mendengarkan dan menerima kesaksian peringatan yang telah diberikan Allah. Mereka telah menghalangi pekerjaan dan tujuan Allah dengan adanya salah tafsir, kepalsuan, dan ajaran sesat, dan ketika Roh Allah telah berbicara, mereka malah berkata, “tidak baik, tidak baik (itu sia-sia).” (Amsal 20:14).” RH 3 November 1904, par. 6.
“Allah masih melanjutkan melaksanakan pekerjaan penebusan-Nya di dalam hati umat-Nya, bukan karena kebaikan dan pengabdian serta kemurnian yang Ia lihat pada mereka yang berada di tempat-tempat tinggi; bukan karena mereka telah takut kepada Allah; tetapi untuk kemuliaan nama-Nya, jangan sampai musuh-musuh kebenaran menang.” RH 3 November 1904, par. 9.
“I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.” Isaiah 48:3.

For they call themselves the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; the Lord of hosts is his name. “Read the whole of this chapter,—the forty-eighth of Isaiah. It has been pointed out to me as a representation of the true condition of those, who, though they have had the truth, line upon line, precept upon precept, have refused to hear and receive the testimonies of warning that God has given. They have hindered the work and cause of God with misrepresentation, falsehood, and heresy, and when the Spirit of God has spoken, they have said, “It is naught, it is naught.” RH November 3, 1904, par. 6.
