PERATURAN YANG MEMPERSATUKAN DAN MENDAMAIKAN UMAT ALLAH
“Sebab Allah tidak menghendaki kekacauan, tetapi damai sejahtera.” 1 Korintus 14:33.
“Ada peraturan di jemaat ketika Kristus berada di bumi dahulu, dan setelah kenaikannya, peraturan inj dipatuhi dengan ketat di antara para pengikutnya. Dan sekarang, di hari-hari terakhir sekarang ini, ketika Allah membawa anak-anak-Nya ke dalam kesatuan iman, ada kebutuhan yang lebih nyata akan peraturan daripada sebelumnya; karena ketika Allah sedang berusaha mempersatukan umat-Nya, Setan dan para malaikatnya justru berusaha menghancurkan kesatuan ini.” RH 16 Februari 1911, par. 8.
“Peraturan yang dipertahankan di jemaat Kristen yang mula-mula memungkinkan mereka untuk bergerak maju dengan kokoh sebagai pasukan yang berdisiplin baik yang mengenakan perlengkapan senjata Allah. Kelompok orang percaya, meskipun tersebar di wilayah yang luas, semuanya merupakan anggota dari satu tubuh; semuanya bergerak bersama-sama dan harmonis satu sama lain.” HB 244.3, AA 95.
“Ia menghendaki agar peraturan dan sistem dipatuhi dalam pelaksanaan urusan jemaat di masa sekarang ini, tidak kurang dari pada zaman dahulu. Ia menghendaki pekerjaan-Nya dilaksanakan dengan saksama dan tepat sehingga Ia dapat memberikan meterai persetujuan-Nya. Orang Kristen harus bersatu dengan orang Kristen, jemaat dengan jemaat, umat manusia bekerja sama dengan yang ilahi, setiap orang harus tunduk kepada Roh Kudus, dan semuanya harus bersatu dalam menyampaikan kabar baik tentang kasih karunia Allah kepada dunia.” AA 96.1.
“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14:33.
“There was order in the church when Christ was on the earth, and after his departure, order was strictly observed among the disciples. And now, in these last days, when God is bringing his children into the unity of the faith, there is more real need of order than ever before; for as God seeks to unite his people, Satan and his angels strive to destroy this unity.” RH February 16, 1911, par. 8.
“The order that was maintained in the early Christian church made it possible for them to move forward solidly as a well-disciplined army clad with the armor of God. The companies of believers, though scattered over a large territory, were all members of one body; all moved in concert and in harmony with one another.” HB 244.3, AA 95.
“He requires that order and system be observed in the conduct of church affairs today no less than in the days of old. He desires His work to be carried forward with thoroughness and exactness so that He may place upon it the seal of His approval. Christian is to be united with Christian, church with church, the human instrumentality co-operating with the divine, every agency subordinate to the Holy Spirit, and all combined in giving to the world the good tidings of the grace of God.” AA 96.1.
