TERANG YANG TERBIT DARI TAKHTA ALLAH
“Di dalam gelap terbit terang bagi orang benar; pengasih dan penyayang orang yang adil.” Mazmur 112:4.
“Bagi barangsiapa yang mencari terang, dan yang mau menerimanya dengan sukacita, maka sinar terang dari takhta Allah akan bersinar.” DA 47.2.
“Kegelapan rohani yang menutupi bumi adalah akibat dari keterpisahan dari Allah. Kristus adalah terang dan hidup dunia. “Bagi orang benar terbit terang di dalam kegelapan.” [Mazmur 112:4.] Semua dosa adalah kegelapan. Ketika Kristus datang ke dunia ini, para penguasa Yahudi menolak untuk menerima perkataan-Nya. Karena sombong, mereka menyatakan bahwa mereka tahu semua tentang hukum Allah. Tetapi Kristus berkata kepada mereka, “Kamu sesat, karena kamu tidak mengerti Kitab Suci maupun kuasa Allah.” [Matius 22:29.] Kegelapan menutupi bumi dan kegelapan pekat menyelimuti orang-orang.” 7LtMs, Ms 20, 1892, par. 30.
“Umat manusia, dan bahkan umat pilihan Allah, sebagian besar telah kehilangan pengetahuan tentang Allah. Para imam Yahudi mengajarkan perintah-perintah manusia sebagai doktrin. Allah disalahartikan. Gagasan-gagasan yang salah berlaku sehubungan dengan tabiat dan sifat-Nya. Kristus pun datang ke dunia ini, dan terang bersinar ke dalam kegelapan, tetapi kegelapan tidak menguasainya.” 7LtMs, Ms 20, 1892, par. 31.
“Banyak orang yang sedang mencari terang dalam kegelapan. Jika saja berita-berita ataupun surat-surat kabar, artikel ataupun risalah, dan buku-buku kita, yang menyingkapkan kebenaran dalam bahasa Alkitab yang jelas, dapat disebarkan secara meluas, maka banyak orang akan menemukan apa yang mereka rindukan.” 4T 392.1.
“Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.” Psalms 112:4.
“To those who are seeking for light, and who accept it with gladness, the bright rays from the throne of God will shine.” DA 47.2.
“The spiritual darkness that covers the earth is the result of a separation from God. Christ is the light and life of the world. “Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness.” [Psalm 112:4.] All sin is darkness. When Christ came to this world, the Jewish rulers refused to accept His words. Wise in their own conceit, they declared that they knew all about the law of God. But Christ said to them, “Ye do err not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.” [Matthew 22:29.] Darkness covered the earth and gross darkness the people.” 7LtMs, Ms 20, 1892, par. 30.
“The human family, and even the Lord’s chosen people, had to a large extent lost the knowledge of God. The Jewish priests were teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. God was misrepresented. False ideas prevailed in regard to His character and attributes. Christ came to this world, and the light shone forth into the darkness, but the darkness comprehended it not.” 7LtMs, Ms 20, 1892, par. 31.
“There are many who are seeking for light in the darkness. If our papers, tracts, and books, expressing the truth in plain Bible language, could be widely circulated, many would find that they are just what they want.” 4T 392.1.***
