KETIDAKPERCAYAAN DAN KETIDAKSETIAAN YANG MENGAKIBATKAN KEGAGALAN

“Demikianlah kita lihat, bahwa mereka tidak dapat masuk oleh karena ketidakpercayaan mereka.” Ibrani 3:19.

“Ketika orang-orang masih dalam keragu-raguan dan malah mempercayai mata-mata yang tidak setia, kesempatan emas bagi Israel pun berlalu begitu saja. Penduduk negeri itu justru bangkit untuk melakukan perlawanan yang gigih, dan pekerjaan yang telah Allah persiapkan bagi mereka untuk menyatakan kebesaran-Nya dan kebaikan-Nya kepada umat-Nya, tidak dapat terlaksana oleh karena ketidakpercayaan dan pemberontakan mereka yang jahat.” 7LtMs, Ms 6, 1892, par. 41.

“Akankah pada hari-hari terakhir ini, sebelum kita memasuki Kanaan surgawi, umat Allah juga malah mau memilih menuruti roh yang telah diungkapkan oleh Israel dahulu itu? Orang-orang yang penuh dengan keraguan, kritik, dan keluhan dapat menabur benih keragu-raguan dan ketidakpercayaan yang akan menghasilkan panenannya yang limpah. Sejarah Israel telah dituliskan untuk menjadi peringatan bagi kita, yang hidup ketika akhir dunia akan datang. Lihat Ibrani 3:7-14; 4:1, 2.” 7LtMs, Ms 6, 1892, par. 42.

“So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” Hebrews 3:19.

“While the people were cherishing doubts, and believing the unfaithful spies, the golden opportunity for Israel passed by. The inhabitants of the land were aroused to make a determined resistance, and the work which the Lord had prepared to do for them to manifest His greatness and His favor to His people, could not be done because of their wicked unbelief and rebellion.” 7LtMs, Ms 6, 1892, par. 41.

“Shall it be then in these last days, just before we enter into the heavenly Canaan, [that] God’s people shall indulge the spirit that was revealed by ancient Israel? Men full of doubts and criticisms and complaints can sow seeds of unbelief and distrust that will yield an abundant harvest.
