SABAT KRISTEN YANG BENAR
“Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: “Katakanlah kepada orang Israel, demikian: Akan tetapi hari-hari Sabat-Ku harus kamu pelihara, sebab itulah peringatan antara Aku dan kamu, turun-temurun, sehingga kamu mengetahui, bahwa Akulah TUHAN, yang menguduskan kamu. Antara Aku dan orang Israel maka inilah suatu peringatan untuk selama-lamanya, sebab enam hari lamanya TUHAN menjadikan langit dan bumi, dan pada hari yang ketujuh Ia berhenti bekerja untuk beristirahat.” Keluaran 31:12-17.
“Keluaran 31:12-17.” “Tuhan Yesus Kristus, yang diselubungi tiang awanlah, yang mengucapkan kata-kata firman ini. Suara-Nyalah yang menetapkan bahwa Sabat harus dirayakan sebagai hari perhentian yang kudus. Hingga akhir zaman, hari itu akan menjadi tanda antara Allah dan umat-Nya. Manusialah yang merayakan hari pertama dalam seminggu, dan mencoba memaksa orang lain untuk merayakannya, dan menyebut hari itu Sabat Kristen. Tetapi Kristus tidak mengakuinya. Hari ketujuh adalah Sabat Kristen. Ketika bintang-bintang fajar bersorak-sorai bersama, dan semua anak Allah bersorak-sorai, hari ini lah yang diberkati oleh Allah dan ditetapkan-Nya sebagai hari perhentian-Nya. 14LtMs, Ms 198, 1899, par. 34-35.
“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you…Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.” Exodus 31:12-17 (KJV).
“Exodus 31:12-17. It was the Lord Jesus Christ, enshrouded in the pillar of cloud, who spoke these words. It was His voice which ordained that the Sabbath should be observed as a sacred day of rest. Till the end of time it was to be a sign between God and His people. Those who observe the first day of the week, and try to compel others to observe it, call that day the Christian Sabbath. But Christ does not own it. The seventh day is the Christian Sabbath. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy, this day was blessed by Jehovah and set apart as the day of His rest.” 14LtMs, Ms 198, 1899, par. 34-35.***
