MENJAGA TUBUH KITA MENJADI BAIT ROH KUDUS-NYA

“Atau tidak tahukah kamu, bahwa tubuhmu adalah bait Roh Kudus yang diam di dalam kamu, Roh Kudus yang kamu peroleh dari Allah, — dan bahwa kamu bukan milik kamu sendiri?“ 1 Korintus 6:19.

“Dia memberi tahu kita bahwa tubuh kita adalah bait Roh Kudus; dan Dia menghendaki kita untuk merawat bait ini, agar menjadi tempat tinggal yang layak bagi Roh-Nya… Semua orang hendaknya sangat berhati-hati untuk menjaga tubuh dalam kondisi kesehatan terbaik, agar mereka dapat memberikan pelayanan yang sempurna kepada Allah, dan melaksanakan tugas mereka dalam keluarga dan masyarakat.” CTBH 52.3.

“Kita harus bekerja sama dengan Allah dengan menjaga tubuh dalam kondisi kesehatan terbaik, agar menjadi bait tempat Roh Kudus dapat tinggal, dan membentuk kita, sesuai kehendak Allah, yakni pada tiap-tiap kekuatan jasmani dan rohani.” BEcho 15 Oktober 1900, par. 7.

“Umat yang dipimpin Allah akan menjadi istimewa. Mereka tidak akan seperti dunia. Jika mereka mau mengikuti tuntunan Allah, maka mereka akan mencapai maksud-Nya, dan akan menyerahkan kehendak mereka kepada kehendak Allah. Kristus akan tinggal di dalam hati. Bait Allah akan kudus. Tubuhmu, kata rasul, adalah bait Roh Kudus.” PH159 87.1.

“Kamu bukan milik kamu sendiri.” Kita tidak boleh merasa bahwa kita bebas melakukan apa saja yang kita inginkan.” 13LtMs, Ms 60, 1898, par. 28.

“…Barangsiapa yang tubuhnya adalah bait Roh Kudus tidak akan diperbudak oleh kebiasaan yang merusak…” 4SP 304.1.

“Tubuh kita adalah bait Roh Kudus; dan ketika kita menempatkan tubuh itu dalam kondisi yang dibiarkan tidak dapat kita ubah menjadi lebih baik, berarti kita merampas kehormatan yang selayaknya diberikan Allah kepada-Nya dari mereka yang untuknya Ia telah memberikan Anak-Nya, agar mereka memperoleh keselamatan yang sempurna.” 21LtMs, Ms 132, 1906, par. 38.

“Tidak seorang pun pria atau wanita berhak membentuk kebiasaan yang mengurangi tindakan yang menyehatkan salah satu pun organ pikiran atau tubuh. Barangsiapa yang menyalahgunakan kekuatannya berarti menajiskan bait Roh Kudus…” 14LtMs, Ms 130, 1899, par. 48.

“Kesempurnaan tabiat yang dikehendaki Allah adalah menjadikan seluruh diri sebagai bait suci tempat Roh Kudus berdiam. Allah tidak akan menerima apa pun selain pelayanan segenap organ manusia yang hidup. Tidaklah cukup hanya menggerakkan bagian-bagian tertentu dari mesin kehidupan. Semua bagian harus bekerja dalam harmoni yang sempurna, atau pelayanannya akan kurang. Dengan demikianlah manusia memenuhi syarat untuk bekerja sama dengan Allah dalam menyatakan Kristus kepada dunia. Dengan demikianlah Allah hendak mempersiapkan suatu umat untuk berdiri di hadapan-Nya dalam keadaan murni dan kudus, agar Ia dapat memperkenalkan mereka ke dalam persekutuan para malaikat surgawi.” RH 12 November 1901, par. 3.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV).

“He tells us that our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost; and he requires us to take care of this temple, that it may be a fit habitation for his Spirit… All should be very careful to preserve the body in the best condition of health, that they may render to God perfect service, and do their duty in the family and in society.” CTBH 52.3.

“We are to co-operate with God by keeping the body in the very best possible condition of health, that it may be a temple where the Holy Ghost may abide, moulding, according to the will of God, every physical and spiritual power.” BEcho October 15, 1900, par. 7.

“The people whom God is leading will be peculiar. They will not be like the world. If they will follow the leadings of God, they will accomplish his purposes, and will yield their will to the will of God. Christ will dwell in the heart. The temple of God will be holy. Your body, says the apostle, is the temple of the Holy Ghost.” PH159 87.1.

“…He whose body is the temple of the Holy Spirit will not be enslaved by a pernicious habit…” 4SP 304.1.

“Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost; and when we put that body into a condition where we cannot help it to be in a better condition, we rob God of the honor that is due Him from those for whom He has given His Son, that they might have a complete salvation.” 21LtMs, Ms 132, 1906, par. 38.

“No man or woman has any right to form habits which lessen the healthful action of one organ of mind or body. He who perverts his powers is defiling the temple of the Holy Ghost…” 14LtMs, Ms 130, 1899, par. 48.

“That perfection of character which the Lord requires is the fitting up of the whole being as a temple for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. God will accept of nothing less than the service of the entire human organism. It is not enough to bring into action certain parts of the living machinery. All parts must work in perfect harmony, or the service will be deficient. It is thus that man is qualified to co-operate with God in representing Christ to the world. Thus God desires to prepare a people to stand before Him pure and holy, that He may introduce them into the society of heavenly angels.” RH November 12, 1901, par. 3.***
